Home Front San Diego:
Recently I had an opportunity to donate a little of my time to a good cause, HomeFront San Diego. Home front San Diego is an organization dedicated to helping military families in their time of need. I heard an announcement that there was a family with a gate that was broken. This was a big problem because their dog was getting out and this was also the gate that the kids used to get in and out of the backyard.
At first I thought I was going to fix the existing gate and I would be on my way. After seeing the gate first hand I realized the only way to fix the gate was to replace it. So I installed an “adjust a gate” from Lowes. With the help of my buddy Robert the job only took a few hours to complete.
The reason I have written this blog is to call attention to Home Front San Diego. This is a top notch organization with a great cause. 100% of all donations make it to military families, Home Front has no overhead. Also, I just wanted to illustrate that even the little guys like me can make a difference in our community. No matter what your stance is on the different conflicts the US is involved in, helping our military families is a must. After all they give so much to ensure our freedom.
